BBQ Hamburgers with Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Onions and Garlic Dressing
Ingredients:
Burgers
2 pounds ground beef (use 85/15 blend)
6 ounces homemade or favorite brand BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon BBQ spice (optional)
1 teaspoon granulated onion (or powder)
1 teaspoon granulated garlic (or powder)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro or Italian parsley
1 big sweet vidalia onion, cut into 1/4s lengthwise thru the middle
Dressing
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
½ teaspoon paprika
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Pinch of salt
Ground black pepper
Dash of hot sauce
Burger Directions:
- Combine all the burger ingredients and mix well
- Form burgers into equal size, about 8 ounces each. Place each of the burgers on plate and hold off to the side till you are ready to cook.
- When you are ready to cook, heat Super Sear Grill, spray with non stick spray, preheat to 425, then press the SEAR button and place burgers on the GRILL.
- Place top down and cook for 5 minutes. This will give you a medium cooked burger that is delicious and juicy.
- Top with cheddar cheese slice and remove from grill and place on top of your hamburger bun.
- Change grill tempurature to 375. Spray with non stick spray.
- Place onions on the Super Sear Grill, hit SEAR button and close lid.
- 90 seconds later your onions should be done.. remove and put on top of the burger and enjoy.
Dressing Directions:
- Combine all the ingredients in a food process or and blend.
- Spoon out how much you like on top of your burger and put the rest in the fridge with the top included and save for a later.
