Not your typical cinnamon ring! The big bold flavors of cashew and caramel really jazz up an ordinary tea ring into something extraordinary! This can be made into 1 large tea ring or two small ones, depending on your need. This breakfast treat freezes really well. 30 minutes 10-12 servings Ingredients 1 cup warm milk, 110 – 115 degrees 2 tablespoons sugar 1 ½ tablespoons active dry yeast 3 tablespoons vanilla-caramel coffee mate instant creamer 1 stick butter, softened 1 tsp salt 2 large eggs 4 ½ - 5 Cups all purpose flour ½ cup brown sugar 1 cup salted cashews, chopped ½ tsp ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon butter, melted 10 caramel candies, unwrapped 1 teaspoon milk Directions 1. In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, add milk, sugar and yeast. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes. Add in the creamer, butter, salt and eggs. Using the flat beater, beat until smooth. Add 1 cup of flour beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Switch to dough hook and add enough flour so that the dough will not stick to the sides of the bowl and is smooth and elastic. Place dough in a large bowl coated with nonstick cooking spray turn once to coat top. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. 2. In a medium mixing bowl, toss brown sugar, cashews, and cinnamon set aside. 3. Punch dough down turn onto a lightly floured surface. Roll into a 20 X 10 inch rectangle. Spread the butter on top of the bread and then evenly sprinkle the cashew mixture on top of the bread. Roll up tightly jelly-roll style. Place seam side down on a large non-stick baking pan pinch end to form a ring. With scissors, cut from outside edge 2/3 of the way toward the center of the ring at 1-inch intervals. Twist slightly so the filling shows. Cover and let rise until doubled. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Take out of the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes. Then remove from sheet and transfer to a large serving platter. 5. Place the caramels in a small microwave-safe cup and add the milk. Place into the microwave and cook on high until the caramels have melted. Mix well and drizzle on top of the tea ring. HINT: An electric heating pad or blanket works REALLY well to help the dough rise.
