Cream of Broccoli Soup

Great with a Sandwich or by itself!! 1 hour 4 - 6 Ingredients 1 medium Head Broccoli clean and cut into small to medium pieces 1 cup chopped celery 3 tlbs butter 2 bay leafs 2 cups Milk 2 cups whipping cream 2 cups chicken broth 3 tlbs flour 6 to 8 slices Canadian Bacon cut into strips 1/4 lb American Cheese cut into strips or cubed * optional 1/4 lb Pepper Cheese cut into strips or cubed Directions 1. Saute 2 tlbs Butter, Onions and Celery together until soft. About 1 to 2 minutes. 2. Add Bacon strips and Flour. Saute for about 1 to 2 minutes. 3. Add Broccoli and Chicken Broth and cook on low to medium heat for about 20 minutes. 4. Add Cream, Milk and Bay Leafs. Cook on Medium heat for about 30 minutes. 5. About 5 minutes before you are ready to serve add the Cheese and the last tlbs Butter.
