Creamy Potato Leek Soup

Cream-based soup with sauteed leeks and garlic with cubed potatoes and a touch of bacon and white wine 1 hour 8 Ingredients 6 slices of bacon 4 medium leeks 4 cloves of garlic 3 T. all-purpose flour 2 C. half and half 3 C. Chicken Broth 1 C. dry white wine 2 C. diced potatoes 2 bay leaves 2 T. chopped chives Salt and Pepper to taste Directions 1. cut bacon into small cubes and brown 2. Add flour to make rue and cook for 2 minutes 3. Add leeks and garlic cook for 2 minutes more 4. Add Chicken broth, potatoes, bay leaves, and wine and cook until potatoes are tender but not mushy, about 30 minutes 5. Add half and half and chopped chives 6. Bring to a boil and serve, top each bowl with additional chives 7. Enjoy
