Great knives7/17/2008 According to the other reviews, I must have only had bad knives before these. These knives are extremely sharp. I finally can cut a tomato with out all the juices pouring out and can slice a cucumber as thin as possible. The tiny cut on my hand showed me how sharp they are, oops. Also it is nice having a knife block to keep them all together as my knives use to be just lying in a drawer.
Poor Quality / Joanne, NJ6/8/2008 I found these knives to be of poor quality. While they are sharp, the handles are extremely light. I was hesitant to put much pressure on them. Also, the kitchen shears kept coming apart as they were being used resulting in having to lock them back in place often.....only problem is they wouldn''t stay in place! I was not impressed by the quality at all and sent these back.
nice to work with / Rose, NY5/16/2008 These knives are nice to hold and very sharp and functional. The handles are plastic and the weight is light but for $100 bucks I think a nice value. Have you priced high end knives recently? I just hope they hold up to use.
Quality is just not there / Carol, SC5/8/2008 I''ve had the Wusthof Grand Prix for years, and being impressed with those, I ordered this Emeril by Wusthof as a gift. When they arrived, I compared the knives side-by-side. There is just no comparison in the quality - mine are 10x better than these. I''d be really embarassed to give these as a gift, so they''re going back. If these knives were $50, instead of $129, I might be inclined to give them three stars, but for the current price, they definitely don''t warrant anymore than two stars.
