If your bread's crust is too dark or too hard, the cause is due to one of two things: 1) the crust setting was set too dark, or 2) the recipe has a lot of sugar or sweetener in it. Here's what you can do to ensure the bread's crust is cooked to your liking: 1) set the bread maker on a lighter crust setting, and 2) always bake sweet breads on the light setting. |
