A stick to your ribs meal that's comforting and reminds me of my Hugarian Grandma! 1 hr. 6 Ingredients 1 lb of bacon, 1 lg. head of cabbage, 1 lb bag of egg noodles, black pepper to taste Directions 1. Put water in a stock pot and bring to boil. Add salt to water. 2. Cube bacon slices and saute in a pan large enough to hold final ingredients until crisp. 3. Cut cabbage into bite size pieces and when water comes to boil, put in pot. 4. When cabbage is 3/4 of the way cooked, add egg noodles to pot. 5. When egg noodles are cooked, strain noodles & cabbage, drain well, and add to bacon in pan. Add pepper to taste. 6. Cook at medium heat, pressing down on ingredients until a crust forms on the bottom. With a spatula, turn so that the top side gets crisp. 7. Enjoy with a green salad.
