Delicious ethnic dish. Great for Pot Luck Dinners.
35 min 5 or 6 Ingredients MEATBALLS COMBINE: 1 lb ground beef 1 egg 1/4 cup bread crumbs 1/4 cup milk 1 Tbsp parsley 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning dash pepper SPAETZLE 2 Cups flour 1 tsp salt 2 slightly beaten eggs 3/4 cups milk.. Directions COMBINE: 1 lb ground beef 1 egg 1/4 cup bread crumbs 1/4 cup milk 1 Tbsp parsley 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning dash pepper Mix & shape into 24 balls In dutch oven, brown meatballs slowly in 2 Tbsp. oil. Add broth, mushrooms & onion.Simmer, covered, for 30 min. Blend cream, flour & seed stir into broth. Cook & stir til thick. Set aside, keep warm SPAETZLE Sift together 2 Cups flour & 1 tsp salt.Add 2 slightly beaten eggs & 3/4 cups milk..beat well. Pour batter into a coarse sieved colander I purchased a spaetzel maker. Hold over a large kettle of rapidly boiling salted water. Press batter through colander into the water. Cook & stir 5 minutes drain. Sprinkle with melted butter & 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs. Serve with meatballs.
