Chocolate and Nutty Puff Pastry Deliciousness. 10-20 minutes Approx. 2 dozen Ingredients 1/2 pkg. Pepperidge Farm Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets 1 sheet is needed Handful of chopped walnuts Nutella chocolate-hazelnut spread Flour for dusting/rolling out pastry on counter surface White course sanding sugar 1 tbsp water Directions Thaw 1 sheet of puff pastry at room temp, about 40 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Flour surface where you are going to roll out the pastry sheet into a larger/even square. About 16" x 12" Carefully spread the Nutella mixture with a silicone spatula so it covers the surface of the pastry, but leave about an inch all the way around clean. This way it dosent ooozze out when you bake it. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top of the Nutella. Roll each side of the puff pastry with mixture on it carefully towards the center so they meet up evenly. At the seam, use a pastry brush to spread water down it and press sides together. Flip over so the seam side is facing down. Cut log into even slices. Transfer slices to a cookie sheet. Place them a few inches apart & press them down a bit if needed. Sprinkle with the course sanding sugar. Bake for 10 to 20 minutes. Check them at 10 minutes to see if they are golden brown. Cool on wire rack then enjoy.
