They called slamwiches because my family just slams them right down. This is great for a quick meal or snack. Refreshing flavors with a little less carbs. 7 minutes 4 Ingredients 4 4X5 inch pieces of sour dough bread 4 TBSP apple butter 4 tomato slices, thinly sliced from a large tomato 3 TBSP chopped fresh basil, divided 4 TBSP dry roasted sunflower seeds 1 6 oz package deli select honey ham I use Hillshire Farms 4 slices smoked provolone cheese Directions 1. Place the four bread slices on a clean counter top and spread 1 TBSP apple butter evenly over the tops of each bread slice. Add 1 tomato slice on top of the bread. Evenly divide 2 TBSP basil on top of the tomato slices. Sprinkle 1 TBSP sunflower seeds evenly over each sandwich. Evenly divide the ham on top of each sandwich. Top off with provolone cheese. 2. Place sandwiches in the toaster oven and on medium/medium high heat, toast for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden in color. 3. Take out of the oven and sprinkle the top with the remaining basil and serve on a nice platter. Garnish the platter as desired.
