A delicious hot and hearty breakfast. Perfect for those cold mornings. Very easy, and very quick. Everyone's favorite. 15-20 minutes 6 hearty servings Ingredients 1 lb. Bacon, 1/2 med. chopped onion, 1-1 1/2 qt milk, 1-2 Tbs chicken soup base flavoring, 3-4 Tbs cornstarch, salt and pepper to taste. Your favorite bread - toasted of course. Directions Cut bacon into small pieces. Fry in stainless steel pan don't use non-stick until bottom of pan is browned and bacon is very crispy. Pour off excess bacon grease and discard. Add onion and let sauté until tender. Add only 2 cups milk and deglaze bottom of pan, then add remainder of milk. Bring almost to boil, add chicken base for flavoring. Mix cornstarch with water for thickening. Take pan off heat and add 1/2 of the cornstarch. Return pan to heat until it comes, almost, to a boil. Repeat this step if bacon gravy is too thin. Add a little salt and pepper. Serve over your favorite toasted bread, dry or buttered.
