Dull knife, poor slicer

Purchased the set and put it away for Mother''s Day. Called the week after M''Day because the knife is so dull. Mfg rep FINALLY agreed to send a replacement knife. 6 weeks later and still no replacement The slicer slices paper thin and there''s nothing to allow you to vary the thickness of the slices. HSN says they can''t help me get a replacement because it''s warranted by the manufacturer, but the manufacturer is ignoring me... so I''ve basically thrown away my money.

too flimsy

I used both the slicer and peeler. The slicer worked ok but was kind of flimsy. The peeler worker well and was sharp, BUT, the blade kept flying out of the handle. They are just made too flimsy and cheap to be good products, no matter how sharp the blades may be.

Never worked with ceramic before, and I like it! Design of the peeler needs to be tweeked. It keeps falling apart. Works great on thin-skinned veggies and fruits, but fell apart three times on a mango. Parer cuts like "butta." So far, the slicer works great on potatoes and cucumbers. Love the double-sided edge. Last night I made a cucumber and onion salad that turned out great. My hubby and I both agree that a set of these knives would be a good thing!

I’ve been buying Stafford products for a long time from QVC. I am happy to see that they have moved to HSN and I recently bought this ceramic set which I am able to use in my everyday cooking. I highly recommend any Stafford product.
