After graduating with honors from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Todd studied further in Europe. In 1991, he was named National Rising Star by the James Beard Foundation. And the recognition has been nonstop.

His first restaurant, Olives, was named Best New Restaurant by Boston magazine and Best Food and Top Table by Gourmet magazine. Todd is listed in the Beard foundation’s “Who’s Who in Food and Beverage in America,” Bon Appetit named him Restaurateur of the Year and People elected Todd one of its 50 Most Beautiful People.

In addition to his time on HSNtv, Todd has appeared on "Iron Chef USA," "Martha Stewart Living," "Chef du Jour," "The Main Ingredient," "Good Morning America," "CBS This Morning," "Live with Regis and Kelly," "The Today Show," and public television’s "America’s Rising Star Chefs."

Todd’s restaurants include Olives locations in NYC, Boston, Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Aspen, Colo., and Biloxi, Miss.; Beso in Los Angeles; Tuscany in Connecticut; Kingfish Hall and Bonfire in Boston; Seattle’s Fish Club; BlueZoo at Walt Disney World in Orlando; and Riche in New Orleans.

And if all this hasn’t kept him busy enough, Todd has authored the critically acclaimed The Olives Table, The Figs Table and The Olives Dessert Table cookbooks and presents a line of innovative cookware.
