To correctly lock each of the panini's removable plates into place, slip the plate into the 2 rear metal clip slots, then push down to lock the plate into the bottom clip. Push the button above each plate to unlock and remove that plate. Make sure the panini is unplugged and the plates are cool to the touch before removing or reinserting any plates. For more complete directions, please refer to pages 8 and 9 of the product manual.
