This is a great little tool that every cook needs in their kitchen. I will be using it for my soups this winter and for my Thanksgiving gravy. I like the convience of being able to use it right in the pot that you're cooking in. The price was just right on this one. Thank you, Wolfgang.

Purchased this in red (will purchase another one for a Christmas gift) as I do a lot of smoothies for breakfast, puree soups and tomatoes for sauces, etc. Like someone else already mentioned, getting out the Vitamix every morning and having to clean the container every day can be a real pain as it's not dishwasher safe; thus sometimes, it sits at the sink for a day or so before I get to it (as no one else will). I love this so much more for the quick jobs that I need to do. Clean-up is a simple rinse and dry and it's done. I don't want to be standing at the kitchen sink for 10-15 minutes trying to wash and dry a container out every day. Another bonus is that I can take it when travelling or on vacation. Give this a try.

This was purchased to replace a cheaper model purchased at a drug store where the inner metal for the stirring device had rusted and got into the baby's formula. The one purchased here is solid, doesn't let liquids enter into the stem, and has 2 stirring speed options. A bit expensive, but worth it to not have rust in the baby's formula. Whips up liquids well, too!
